Belly Dance class in Colfax this Friday!

Hello Dancers,

 

I’m back and ready to resume beginning Middle Eastern dance class at Sierra Vista Community Center in Colfax!  We will be starting the session over, with the possibility of working on zills and or veil at the end, if all students are returning from the May session.  Class is on Fridays 3:30-4:30pm (for now).

 

The location is 55 School Street in Colfax.

From Auburn, Take 80 up to the Colfax 174 exit

Exit and do the loop around to the right to cross over the freeway.

At the stop sign, turn right onto S. Auburn St. (174)

At the next stop sign, go straight to stay on S. Auburn (don’t turn right to stay on 174)

The road curves left, turns into Grassvalley St. and crosses the train tracks.

At the 4-way stop, turn right onto S. Main St.

Take the second left onto School St.

 

Don’t use any directions that tell you to take Dinky way!  The railroad crossing for that road has been closed!

The Sierra Vista Community Center is the old school (being renovated) on your right.  You can park in the street or in the lot. Classes are currently being held in the Conestoga room, which is easy to find if you enter the building by the door on School St. closest to the intersection of School St and Pleasant St.

Notice: No Colfax Belly Dance for the rest of May

Hello Dancers,

 

My new Friday 3:30 class is off to a good start, but I won’t be holding class again until June 4^th.  I told many of you I’d be back after my trip, but it turns out that Fri. is my son’s birthday!  It’s also Memorial Day Weekend, so I want to free up that day for family plans.  Sorry for the long break, but we’ll start fresh in June, and welcome anyone who hasn’t been able to make it so far.

Fri. Belly Dance Class

Dear Dancers,

 

I’ve finally got my shimmies in a row and I’m starting class this Friday, April 23^rd!!  The class will be primarily for beginners, but I will be introducing some choreography to keep it fun for all, and will cost $5 per person.  We’ll meet at 3:30 each Friday in the Conestoga Room at Sierra Vista Community Center in Colfax.  That said, I already have to cancel May 14 & 21, because I will be out of town.  But, we’ve got 3 weeks to get this class going and to see if I will have enough students to cover the room rental ($15 per hr) and instructor insurance ($230 per year).

UPDATE FOR 2010

After a much too long spell of no Belly Dance class, I'm working on getting a new one going in Alta for 2010!! There will be some subtle changes due to the influence of my favorite work out class at the Gym; World Rhythm Dance!
